Animals and daily care
Records, history, documents, health, care and feeding.
Bring together useful information for each animal: identity, observations, documents and history. The record supports teams in daily care.
How can your organisation use it?
Connect records with care and feeding instructions. The people involved can find the information they need for their work.
What you can organise in practice.
An everyday example.
An animal arrives with documents and care instructions. The team brings the information together in its record and identifies its accommodation.
Another person can then consult the record before providing care or completing an everyday task. The history stays linked to the animal as carers change.
Your questions answered.
Are records only for animals awaiting adoption?
No. Records also cover animals in lifelong care, boarding animals and those managed as part of another activity.
Can I view an animal’s family relationships?
Yes. Genealogy shows recorded parents and three generations of ancestors, siblings and half-siblings, descendants, and litters grouped by parents and date of birth. It relies on the relationships stored in animal records.
Details to clarify.
Medical information helps with monitoring and sharing details. It does not replace a veterinarian's diagnosis or decisions.
