API and integrations

Connect Animan to a website or other tools.

The website you are viewing uses Animan's public API to read its CMS content. It communicates over HTTP and does not require direct database access.

How can your organisation use it?

Other integrations rely on the resources and permissions available. An API opens up possibilities; connecting a specific tool may require development and configuration.

What you can organise in practice.

An everyday example.

A page is prepared in the Animan CMS and published in French for the relevant site. The Nuxt frontend retrieves only this published version.

An unpublished translation does not appear by default in another language. The website can be installed separately by configuring the API address.

Your questions answered.

Does having an API mean every tool is already connected?

No. Each integration depends on the available resources and may require configuration or development.

Can a published page be read by its path?

Yes: GET /api/public/sites/{siteCode}/{locale}/pages/by-path?path=/modules/animaux. Access remains limited by site, language and publication rules. Read the catalogue with GET /api/public/sites/{siteCode}/{locale}/pages.

Details to clarify.

API capabilities do not give visitors administrator access. Resources, permissions and terms of use must be clarified for each integration.
